Shambolic H&B sent crashing
HASTINGS & Bexhill produced a performance described as a "shambles" by assistant coach Rob Hamilton as they went down 24-12 at Pulborough in the Sussex Intermediate Shield first round.
After finding themselves 24-0 down after half an hour, H&B finally woke up with tries from Steve McManus and Roger Roberts with Neil Redman converting.
But it was too little too late for Hamilton who said: "If we play like that again we would be relegation candidates. It was a shambles and we must improve in our next match."
H&B will be looking for a better performance in their Sussex One match at Chichester Institute on Saturday November 16.
Andy Hitchman, Nick Edmonds and Seb Hamilton are all expected to return.
