But it was the vital opener which gave the Blues the platform to seal a first League One victory of the season.
It also sparked wild scenes of celebration from the 1,634 Pompey fans who made the trip to the Broadfield Stadium.
And Harris shared in their delight.
He said: ‘It’s always a dream to be playing for your home club – the club you have supported from when you are young.

Harris has quickly made himself a fans’ favourite with his lively displays since making the breakthrough into the first team.
His next target is a maiden Fratton Park goal to send the famous stadium into raptures.
He added: ‘It’s good to get the supporters’ backing.
‘They give me that extra boost when I come on, or if I start.
‘Hopefully I can get a home goal, that’s what I am looking for as well now.’
