Isfield cricketers net some valuable practice

On a hot and sunny Sunday afternoon, members of Isfield Cricket Club began socially distanced net sessions in line with latest government regulations.

Having won promotion last season to Sussex League division four east, the club are preparing as best they can for the hopeful resumption of cricket in July.

The cricket square at Isfield CC is in superb condition, lovingly looked after and tended by groundsman David Williams, who has been maintaining the ground to a level that you could play bowls on it.

Locals say it must be up there with the best in the league.
