Booth, who last boxed in the Haringey Box Cup, winning the silver medal against a Swiss opponent, is really excited about the rating and is determined to live up to the accolade.
St Gerards coach Gerry Lavelle said; “It’s perfect timing as Ellie is preparing for the elite championships at the Echo Arena in Liverpool over the weekend of April 29 to May 1, where she will do everything in her power to lift that title.

“This rating and winning the title would be a real high point for her, coming in addition to her receiving the honour of boxing for her country and gaining her first senior England vest.
“Ellie has dreamed about this since she first joined our club at the tender age of 11. Her first-ever contest in Hull, winning with a second-round retirement by her opponent, paved the way for her future as a pugilist.
“Since that day she has picked up junior and senior national titles at differing weights and four silvers and one gold medal at the Haringey Box Cup with her last club and St Gerards.”
