The original challenger Nicaraguan fighter Jose Rios has failed to make the required weight for the featherweight division, therefore a late replacement was required to ensure the title fight took place this weekend.

Hide AdThe late change was announced to us by Jones’ management team at Assassin Boxing Promotion early this morning.
PR manager Graham Wright said: “It happens in boxing, boxers get injured late on in training or find they are struggling to make the required weight, that’s why managers and promoters have to work closely together right up to the last minute to ensure replacements are lined up in the case of these situations.
“Ben’s an experienced professional who’s in top form and he’s a four time major champion remember. He’s got a great coaching team around him and they are all focused on what he has to do when Saturday night comes.”
There’s a limited number of tickets available in what’s expected to be sell-out crowd. Call Graham on the ticket hotline, 07944 072696.
