Snow: police urge travellers to make early decision

THE early onset of winter has brought disruption across areas of Sussex and with the Met Office warning of further snow across the county over the next 24 to 48 hours, police are urging travellers to make an early decision as to whether their journey is really necessary.

A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a lorry on the A264 at Crawley shortly after 5am this morning (Wednesday), but it is too early to say at this stage if the crash was weather-related.

There have been a number of minor incidents involving skidding vehicles coming off the road or colliding with others, but calls on other incidents are slightly down on usual.
