Rye chef Dev becomes TV star
AWARD winning Rye chef Dev Biswal has found himself a new television audience with his recent appearance on Channel 4’s popular Super Scrimpers programme.
Dev, who runs the Ambrette, in Rye High Street, was seen in the programme, broadcast on Good Friday, shopping and then cooking a three-course gourmet meal for eight people for under £20.
Dev opened his Rye restaurant after gaining a huge following at his restaurant in Margate.
