The service on Sunday morning was led by the Rev Daniel Smith and attended by Town Mayor Councillor Bridget George as well as Rother District Council dignitaries such as Charter Trustee councillors Joy Hughes, Joanne Gadd, Dierdre Williams, Paul Lendon and Brian Kentfield.
There was strong representation from RAFA members as well as "a good turnout" of ATC cadets led by Flight Lieutenant Andy Izzard.

Ken commented: "Rev Daniel Smith gave a lovely sermon about the Battle Of Britain but also talking current conflict such as Afghanistan.
"It was very well done, and it would be fair to say this was one of the best Battle Of Britain services we have had for many a year. We were very pleased.
"There was quite a good congregation there - in fact, we ran out of service sheets and could have done with twice as many as we had. We had to ask people to share them which was very good."
