Rudgwick plaque commemorates planting of thousands of daffodils
and live on Freeview channel 276
The plaque was unveiled by Ellens Green and Rudgwick Gardening Association president Michael Clarke.
The planting was the brainchild of the association’s show secretary Simon Quail who had a vision of a sea of yellow welcoming visitors and residents to the village.

Hide AdAnd it has worked. People who enter Rudgwick from the A281 are now being greeted by a swathe of daffodils, all planted by Rudgwick villagers, coordinated by Simon.
The gardening association, founded in 1945, usually organises spring, summer and autumn shows every year. Last year was the association’s 75th anniversary but the shows were moved online because of the pandemic.
