Whose vendetta?
The article recorded a statement made by the council chairman, Chris Roberts, to the effect that the village hall foundation management committee was waging a vendetta against the council.
As someone who has been following the conduct of the parish council closely since the now “famous” first public meeting at the Royal British Legion building on August 3, 2010, which initiated the poll of residents on August 25, please allow me to say that such an accusation is totally unfounded.

Hide AdWhat Mr Roberts ought to have said is that he, and five of his supporters on the council, have been waging a personal vendetta themselves against the chairman of the village hall management committee, as she and her newly-appointed colleagues have set about rebuilding the economics and reputation of that charity.
Elsewhere in your article, there is reference to former members of the East Preston Action Group, of which I was proud to be one.
For the record, today there is one member of that group serving on the village hall committee and three as parish councillors.
