Horsham Photographic Society has been offered an exhibition room at Horsham Museum.

The museum is free and is open from 10am until 5pm and closed on Sundays. We will be exhibiting work from a number of our members of all abilities and experience. This will start on 10 September 2015 for one month.

Exhibitions such as this, where numerous photographers present their work together, are exciting and valuable. Together the images give a broad insight to creativity encompassing a large age span as well as the experiences, skills, interests and passions that exist within our photographic group here in Horsham.

Horsham Photographic Society held its first meeting on 5 October 1949 at the Town Hall. To begin with, there were about 30 members, drawn from many walks of life including ex-prisoners of war, today our membership is 70+ with one member being with us for over 60 years. The Society met, and still does, every fortnight to discuss photographic techniques and offer practical demonstrations.

Help and assistance on improving your photography, regardless of your ability, is always available. We are happy to help each other and this aspect of our club has grown over the years, with special members evenings dedicated to teaching us all something new. Each person has their own style which, after a while, will be recognised and admired, nobody will feel that their work is not worthy of showing as everyone has a flair and field of interest.
