Ninfield and Hooe village voice

Hooe Sports Football Club played Sedlescombe Rangers in the Blacklands Finance Challenge Cup last Saturday and won 4-2! Well done boys.

Tomorrow, March 4, sees them play St. Leonards Social at the Tilekiln. Kick off is at 2.30pm. Saturday March 17 they play against Spartan ’04 at William Parker School, Hastings. Kick off is at 3pm. Hooe Open Group are meeting today, March 9, 2.30pm at Hooe Village Hall. Their speaker will be Margaret Crisp who will tell of her experiences on traveling the World as a solo traveller.

Ninfield Flower Group are holding a Jumble Sale on Saturday March 10, in the Memorial Hall, doors open at 2pm. There will be lots of bargains, cake stall and teas. If you are unable to attend but would like to donate, please contact Jennifer on 01424 892878.

Ninfield Village Society are holding their AGM on Tuesday March 13 at 7pm in the Methodist Hall. The meeting is open to all and we are looking to attract new members who have an interest in maintaining the amenities of our village. The 2012 Annual General Meeting of The Society will include a brief report on the work undertaken during the past year, and an opportunity to discuss future projects. Following a short break when refreshments will be available, we have enlisted Graham Keen to give us a talk and slide show titled “The History and Demise of Common Land”.
