‘Knife arch is a good idea’, says Worthing doorman
The arch is a metal detector, similar to those used in airports, which aims to prevent people carrying knives from entering clubs.
There are three green lights on the arch, one on the lower third of the equipment, one in the middle, and one on the upper third. Depending on what part of the body metal is being carried determines which light flashes red, alerting doormen to possible danger.
