Former Bexhill mayoress dies less than three months after her husband
Anne, who had been a nurse, had cared for John devotedly until his death earlier this year at the age of 80, not knowing that she also was also suffering from cancer. She died last Friday (November 2).
For John and Anne, their year as mayor and mayoress was the pinnacle of their time in their beloved adoptive town.
They had been married for more than 50 years.
