'˜Cannabis factory' unearthed in Birdham

Officers were tipped off after a gas engineer found 30 plants in a room of a property along Birdham Road on Tuesday, November 15.
Police estimate the street value of the plants is as much as £23,000.

Hide AdA police spokeswoman said: “Police were called after a cannabis factory was discovered in a property in Birdham Road, Chichester, on Tuesday at 3.15pm.
“Around 30 cannabis plants were found in one room when a gas engineer called at the property.
“A 32-year-old East Wittering man was arrested on suspicion of abstracting electricity without authority and released on bail until December 22.
“The property was made safe. Enquiries are continuing.
“Anyone with any information about this is asked to contact police by emailing [email protected] or ring 101 quoting serial 866 of 15/11.”
