CAR PARKING TARIFFS CHANGED
The new tariff is set to come into play on December 1, 2006
David Philliskirk, Director of Facilities & Estates said, "According to feedback from regular audit of car park users the creation of a short stay 30 minute charge will be welcomed by most visitors and the establishment of four pay bands is deemed fairer and offers a better choice. The increase on the longer stay tickets ensures the Trust covers the annual cost increase of maintaining and managing our car parks for the benefit of visitors and patients.

"We are continuing to improve the car parking service offered to visitors.
For 2007, the Trust will continue to manage the parking facilities in-house on both sites to ensure a high standard of service and facilities. Both sites now hold the Association of Chief Police Officers Secure Parking Award. This ensures that the car parks meet criterion relating to lighting, CCTV coverage, surveillance, landscaping, patrolling and management systems."
Free visitor parking is available in exceptional circumstances and visitors on low
income can reclaim their travel expenses.
